The LE6940’s monolithic upper is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and integrates the receiver and handguard into a single, rigid piece. It provides continuous, numbered top rails and includes a removable 6-o’clock lower rail. The proprietary folding front sight is built into the upper, pairing here with a Magpul MBUS flip-up rear sight.
The free-floated Colt C MP 5.56 NATO barrel measures 16.1 inches, is chrome-lined, and uses a 1:7 twist suitable for a wide range of 5.56 loads. It follows the M4 profile with an M203 notch and is threaded, with a LANTAC muzzle brake installed. The rifle is also .223 Rem compatible.
This carbine uses Colt’s direct-impingement, semi-automatic system with forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers. It includes a forward assist, case deflector, ejection-port cover, and a manual safety selector marked SAFE/FIRE. The monolithic design free-floats the barrel for consistent support while keeping accessory mounting straightforward.
Upgrades include a Geissele trigger, Magpul collapsible carbine stock, and an overmolded pistol grip with finger grooves. For optics, it comes equipped with a Burris XTR II 1–5x scope featuring the 5.56 G3 reticle, mounted in a LaRue Tactical SPR-1.5 one-piece mount for secure attachment.
