The M2.0 Compact configuration combines a controllable grip with the M2.0 aggressive texture and a no thumb safety layout. Controls are set up for flexibility: an ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release support a variety of shooters and carry setups. The pistol will fire with the magazine removed.
Construction is robust and corrosion-resistant, with a stainless-steel slide and barrel under a black Armornite finish. An extended embedded stainless-steel chassis runs within the polymer frame. The slide uses front and rear M2.0 scalloped serrations and is non-optics-cut.
Sights are fixed, dovetailed steel 3-dots with a white-dot front and two-dot rear. The M2.0 hinged safety trigger and integrated trigger safety provide the M&P’s familiar striker-fired operation.
A three-slot accessory rail is integrated into the dustcover. The pistol accepts full-size 17-round M&P9 magazines with sleeves; one 17-round magazine with a grip-sleeve spacer is included, supporting a capacity of up to 17+1.
