The U.S. Cavalry configuration delivers the long 7.5 inch barrel, a six-chamber fluted cylinder, and fixed sights with a blade front and topstrap groove rear. It is single-action only and chambered in .45 Colt with a six-round capacity, matching the traditional layout with the ejector-rod housing on the right side.
Construction is all steel, with a color case-hardened frame and blued barrel and cylinder for an authentic period look. The revolver follows the traditional three-screw frame pattern and retains the classic handling characteristics associated with the original design.
Markings are a highlight: the left frame carries a patent legend and U.S. stamp, the right-front frame is marked 45CAL, and the butt is marked I Co. 7 CAV. The one-piece walnut grip bears an OWA inspector-style cartouche, completing the cavalry-themed presentation.
Manufactured by A. Uberti S.p.A. for Cimarron Firearms Co., the revolver bears Italian proof/date markings on the cylinder and under the ejector-rod housing. The barrel address reads CIMARRON F. A.
Co. FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS / A. UBERTI-ITALY, clearly identifying its origin and importer.
