Smith & Wesson Model 10-5 .38 Special K-Frame Revolver, 6 in Tapered Barrel, Blued, Fixed Sights
This Smith & Wesson Model 10-5 is a classic K-frame .38 Special with a 6-inch tapered barrel and a blued carbon-steel finish. It features fixed sights, a six-round fluted cylinder, and color case-hardened hammer and trigger. This example is fitted with aftermarket molded faux-stag target-style grips and bears clear factory markings including the Model 10-5 designation.
Built on the proven S&W K-frame, this full-size revolver offers traditional double-action/single-action operation with a hammer-mounted firing pin. The standard S&W checkered cylinder release, knurled ejector rod tip, and short under-barrel lug are present, reflecting the model’s established configuration.
The sighting system consists of a ramped, serrated front blade and a fixed rear notch in the topstrap. The 6-inch tapered barrel and six-chamber fluted cylinder are chambered for .38 Special.
Factory rollmarks include "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS.", "SMITH & WESSON", ".38 S&W SPECIAL CTG.", and "MOD. 10-5". The installed grips are aftermarket molded faux-stag target-style panels marked "STAG GRIP".
