This 1969 Colt Frontier Scout Golden Spike Centennial Commemorative is a limited-edition .22 LR single-action revolver produced to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1869 transcontinental railroad connection. The GS serial suffix identifies it as a commemorative, and a small circular Golden Spike emblem appears on the left side of the frame above the trigger guard. The right side of the barrel is roll-marked '1869 – GOLDEN SPIKE – 1969' to mark the anniversary.
