The forged steel frame and slide are produced using HBM (Hardened Before Machined) manufacturing, paired with Series 70-pattern internals. The result is a traditional single-action, full-size 1911 platform chambered in .45 ACP with a 5" Government-length barrel.
GI A1 ergonomics include relief cuts behind the trigger, an arched, vertically serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop, and a smooth front strap. Controls are classic, with a grip safety, a left-side thumb safety, a standard magazine release, a short solid trigger, and a spur hammer.
The slide features rear-only vertical cocking serrations and fixed GI-pattern sights (small blade front and a simple rear). The uniform matte gray finish covers the forged frame and slide for a consistent, utilitarian appearance.
Markings include TISAS Knoxville, TN and ZIG M1911 TURKIYE, with the model marking M1911 A1 GOVT. on the frame. It ships with checkered double-diamond wood grip panels installed and includes an additional set of brown checkered grip panels.
