The Gen6 G17 retains the proven striker-fired Safe Action System with three passive safeties and a nominal trigger pull rated at 26 N. Capacity is 17+1 with the included standard-length magazines, and the steel barrel measures 4.49 in.
The slide is factory optic-ready with the cover plate installed and features a beveled bull-nose front for easier holstering. Fixed polymer sights are standard, with a white-dot front and white-outline rear.
The black polymer frame uses an aggressive stippled texture and supports modular backstraps for fit tuning. It deletes finger grooves on the frontstrap, adds a modestly flared magwell for faster reloads, and integrates the Glock Universal accessory rail.
Controls include ambidextrous slide stop levers and a left-side, checkered, squared magazine release. This Austrian-made example bears the appropriate Austrian proof marks, "AT" designation, "MADE IN AUSTRIA" molding, and Glock, Inc., Smyrna, GA import mark, with matching serial numbers on the major components.
