The PX4 Storm Type F uses a recoil-operated, locked-breech system with a rotating barrel. The rotating-barrel cam is visible through the ejection port, and the barrel is chrome-lined steel with right-hand, 6-groove rifling. The slide carries front and rear serrations and an ambidextrous, slide-mounted safety/decocker consistent with the Type F configuration.
Controls are set up for practical handling, including a reversible magazine release and a low-profile, replaceable slide catch design. The hammer is external and spurred, and the action is DA/SA with a firing pin block for additional safety.
The frame is fiberglass-reinforced technopolymer, and the grip system accepts interchangeable backstraps. A MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) accessory rail on the dust cover supports common weapon lights or accessories. Fixed 3-dot sights are drift-adjustable for windage, with a white-dot front and two-dot rear.
