This striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech design uses an integral safety blade in the trigger, along with a trigger safety, trigger-bar safety, and firing-pin block. The slide is finished in nitride and includes front and rear cocking serrations and an external extractor.
Sighting is straightforward and fast with fixed luminescent 3-dot iron sights featuring a single-dot front and two-dot rear. This pistol is a non-optics-ready configuration with no optic cut. The dustcover provides an accessory rail with a single cross-slot for compatible lights or accessories.
The fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame has molded texturing and interchangeable backstraps for fit tuning, and it carries a CZ medallion at the lower backstrap. Markings include "Made in Czech Republic," CZ branding, the CZ-USA Kansas City, KS import mark, and right-side proof and inspection marks including a triangle with "21." The slide and frame have matching serial numbers.
