The M&P FPC’s folding system hinges the forward assembly to the side, shrinking the carbine to 16 3/8 in for transport and measuring 30 3/8 in when unfolded. The fixed polymer stock incorporates dual spare-magazine carriers with quick-release tabs, and the length of pull is 15.0 in. The grip uses the familiar M&P-style polymer profile and includes interchangeable palmswell inserts.
Its 16.25 in barrel is made from 4140 steel and is threaded 1/2x28 with a thread protector. A 1:10 twist supports common 9mm loads, and the bolt is stainless. The receiver is aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish, and the overall finish color is black.
Controls and furniture are purpose-built: a slotted M-LOK polymer handguard sits under a full-length Picatinny top rail, and a top-rail charging slide provides straightforward operation. While factory specs list the platform without sights, this rifle arrives with low-profile folding polymer front and rear sights installed.
The carbine accepts Smith & Wesson M&P double-stack pistol magazines and is configured for a 19+1 capacity. Three magazines are included (two 21-round and one 17-round), and the stock’s integrated carriers keep spares on the gun.
