The Shield Plus platform here is the No Thumb Safety configuration with a flat-faced trigger and integral trigger safety tab. It is striker-fired and chambered in .30 Super Carry, pairing micro-size dimensions with Shield Plus pattern magazine compatibility.
Factory TG-H3 tritium night sights are installed, featuring an orange-outline front and a drift-adjustable rear. A loaded-chamber witness port is present on the barrel hood, and the right side of the slide carries the Smith & Wesson Springfield, MA U.S.A. roll mark along with the factory caution marking.
The slide and barrel are stainless steel with a Black Armornite (nitride) finish, and the black polymer frame features M&P texturing with the molded M&P logo. Dimensions are approximately a 3.1 in barrel, 6.1 in overall length, and about 19.3 oz.
This example includes a Recover Tactical SHR9 rail adapter secured by two through-bolts, adding a four-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail. It ships with one 16-round and one 13-round factory magazine; the extended and compact basepads are visible and correctly fitted.
The slide is the standard non–optic-cut Shield Plus pattern. Barrel and slide are marked 30 SUPER CARRY and SHIELD PLUS, respectively, aligning with the model and caliber designations.
