The Marine Magnum treatment covers the receiver, barrel, and magazine components in a matte electroless-nickel finish for corrosion resistance. This factory configuration is designed to perform in harsh, wet environments while maintaining a clean, uniform appearance.
The 18.5-inch barrel is a plain, non-rib cylinder bore with a bead front sight. It is marked CYL and paired with a chamber marked "12GA 2 3/4 OR 3," giving you 3-inch chamber capability. Ejection is from the right side.
An extended tubular magazine runs approximately flush with the muzzle, with a stated capacity of 5+1. The compact barrel length and cylinder choke make for a straightforward defensive setup.
Magpul furniture is installed: an SGA 870 stock with adjustable length of pull and rubber buttpad, and a Magpul MOE 870 forend. The stock is set to a 12.5-inch length of pull for a shorter, maneuverable fit. A receiver-mounted shell carrier backing plate is also installed.
This U.S.-made Special Purpose Marine Magnum variant was discontinued around 2020, making complete examples with the factory nickel finish and practical upgrades increasingly sought after.
