The XD Defend Your Legacy Series pairs a compact 3-inch, hammer-forged barrel with a forged steel slide, both protected by Melonite treatment. The black polymer frame keeps weight manageable while maintaining durability for daily carry or range use.
It is a striker-fired, semi-automatic design with a 1:10 twist barrel. Safety features include a grip safety, trigger safety, a loaded chamber indicator, and a striker-status indicator that provide clear, tactile status cues.
The slide uses an external extractor and front and rear serrations for positive manipulation. A dual captive recoil spring with a full-length guide rod manages recoil, and the integral accessory rail on the dustcover features a single cross-slot.
Sighting is straightforward with 3-dot dovetail sights: a white 1-dot front and a white 2-dot rear. Capacity is 11+1, and this pistol comes with one 11-round and two 9-round magazines.
