The DDM4 V7 platform pairs a 16-inch cold hammer forged barrel with a mid-length gas system for smooth cycling. The barrel uses a 1:7 twist to stabilize a wide range of 5.56mm projectiles and is capped with the Daniel Defense Improved Flash Suppressor.
The Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 M-LOK free-float handguard, machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, provides ample mounting real estate and keeps weight down. A continuous, numbered top Picatinny rail bridges the upper receiver and handguard for consistent mounting along the entire top line.
The upper receiver includes a forward assist and ejection-port cover, while the lower shows SAFE/SEMI selector markings. The aluminum receivers feature a hard-anodized finish. The rifle uses a detachable STANAG-pattern magazine interface and includes one 32-round Daniel Defense polymer magazine.
Handling features include an adjustable polymer stock with a QD sling socket and a Daniel Defense overmolded polymer grip. Integrated QD sling sockets are also present in the handguard. Approximate overall length is 32.25–35.875 inches with an approximate weight of 6.20 lb.
