What’s Included
- Ruger factory cardboard box with end label (Model 40101)
- One Ruger factory steel 10-round magazine for the Mark IV
The Target configuration centers on a 5.5-inch heavy, bull, unfluted, non-threaded steel barrel paired with adjustable rear and fixed front target sights. The "TARGET" rollmark confirms the variant. Sight alignment is set by a square-post front and an adjustable rear target sight.
The upper is all steel with a blued/black finish and an in-the-white bolt, while the grip frame is aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish. It uses the classic Mark-series grip frame (not the 22/45 style) and wears black checkered synthetic grips with Ruger red-medallion inlays.
Operation is simple blowback with a single-action fire control system. Controls include a button magazine release and a manual thumb safety with a red indicator. Capacity is 10+1 rounds of .22 LR.
Maintenance is streamlined by the Mark IV push-button rear takedown. The receiver is drilled and tapped at the factory and fitted with filler screws. This example is the Ruger Model 40101 and was manufactured in 2016.
