    What's Included

    • Colt Trooper First Issue .38 Special revolver (4" barrel, blued, 6-shot)

The first-issue Trooper is built on Colt's E-frame and showcases hallmark design elements of the era. It uses a six-shot fluted cylinder with an unshrouded ejector rod capped by a knurled tip, and a left-side push-to-rear latch consistent with Colt's pattern. The frame carries the Rampant Colt logo, and the barrel is rollmarked "COLT TROOPER .38 SPECIAL CTG."

This example is chambered in .38 Special and employs a double-action/single-action mechanism for flexible operation. The 4-inch carbon steel barrel pairs with adjustable target sights—ramped front and an adjustable square-notch rear mounted to the topstrap—for precise sighting.

Construction is all carbon steel with a polished blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. Checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions provide a classic look and secure handling. The revolver was manufactured in Hartford, Connecticut, United States.

As a 1950s first-issue model, it falls within the early Trooper serial range with the number located on the crane cut, consistent with factory practice of the period. Its period-correct features and 1954 manufacture date make it a distinctive example of Colt's mid-century service/target revolvers.
