Overall Condition: Excellent condition, showing only faint signs of any prior use or handling.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The action cycles smoothly and the trigger pull is crisp. Light scratches and blemishes are present.
What’s Included
- Mauser C96 detachable wooden shoulder stock/holster with steel mounting iron (non-matching to pistol)
The pistol follows the correct Pre-War Commercial configuration with a long extractor, small-ring hammer without the "NS" monogram, and a slotted backstrap to accept a detachable shoulder stock. Grooved wooden grip panels with a lanyard ring complete the classic C96 profile.
Operation is the C96’s short-recoil, locked-breech system using a vertically moving locking block. Feeding is from an integral 10-round fixed internal magazine, loaded by stripper clip. Sights include a fixed blade front and a tangent ladder rear graduated 50–1000 m, paired with a 5.5 in barrel.
Markings and proofs align with commercial production: the left-side frame legend reads "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A. NECKAR," and the top/left barrel extension carries "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A/N." German crowned commercial proofs are present.
Construction is all steel; the frame, barrel, and barrel extension have been deblued/polished and now present in-the-white, with polishing lines evident. Only a few small parts retain residual niter blue; the trigger retains at least partial straw finish, while other color accents are no longer present. All observable numbers match, including the grips, while the included stock/holster is non-matching.
