The controlled-round-feed action on the CZ 550 Safari Classics supports reliable feeding in a big game safari rifle. It uses a Mauser-platform bolt with a turned-down, round-knob handle and an internal 5-round box magazine with a hinged floorplate. The square-bridge receiver integrates dovetail scope bases directly into the action.
The 25-inch steel barrel is finished with a recessed crown. Sighting is handled by a ramped front and a three-leaf express rear, with leaves regulated for 100, 200, and 300. This classic express setup offers quick target acquisition across typical safari distances.
The walnut stock features cut checkering for a secure hold and a rubber recoil pad molded with the CZ logo. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches. QD sling swivel studs are installed in the butt and fore-end for straightforward sling attachment.
The barreled action is polished and blued, matched by a blued steel receiver. Markings include the CZ-USA, Kansas City, KS import line and Made in Czech Republic on the receiver, reflecting its Czech manufacture.
