This Ducks Unlimited fundraising edition pairs Browning's BPS Field platform with commemorative details. The receiver carries full game-scene scroll engraving with the round Ducks Unlimited logo, complemented by a gold DU duck-head inlay on the trigger guard and a gold-color trigger. The silver receiver contrasts with the blued barrel for a distinctive, factory-engraved presentation.
The 20-gauge, 26-inch field barrel is vent-ribbed and uses Browning's Invector-Plus choke system. Chambers are cut for both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. A single front bead provides a clean sight picture. Capacity is 2+1 with the standard magazine configuration.
Operation is pump-action with the BPS's bottom-eject and bottom-loading port, offering fully ambidextrous use. Controls include a tang-mounted safety with a red indicator dot. The gloss-finished walnut stock features cut checkering and a recoil pad, with a 14.0-inch length of pull.
Manufactured by Miroku in Japan for Browning, this example bears the correct rollmarks: "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. MADE IN JAPAN" and "INVECTOR-PLUS BPS SPECIAL STEEL 20GA-2 3/4" AND 3" FIELD MODEL-26". Provenance is the Ducks Unlimited dinner-gun fundraising program (1999–2000), with a DU-coded serial number. The set includes the Ducks Unlimited hard case and the 1999 "Canadian Honkers" collector coin.
