This 1957 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight (Pre-64) in .243 Win. combines the classic controlled-round-feed action with a 22 in Winchester Proof Steel barrel and open sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases, and the bolt body and guide rib are left in the white with a bright polished, jeweled (engine-turned) finish. It features matching serial numbers on the bolt and receiver, Winchester trademarks, and WP oval proof marks. An aftermarket Ram-Line synthetic camo stock with a rubber recoil pad and QD sling swivel studs is installed.
Condition

Built on the renowned Pre-64 controlled-round-feed action, this rifle uses a large non-rotating claw extractor and fixed blade ejector for positive feeding and ejection. The internal box magazine holds five rounds and is paired with a hinged floorplate and an inside-the-guard release.
The 22 in Winchester Proof Steel barrel is equipped with open sights, including a ramped front and a folding rear leaf. The receiver is steel, blued, and drilled and tapped for scope bases. Winchester trademarks are present, along with Winchester WP oval proof marks on the barrel and receiver ring.
The bolt body and guide rib are left in the white with a bright polished, jeweled finish, and the three-position wing safety provides intuitive operation. The bolt and receiver carry matching serial numbers, an important detail for originality.
An aftermarket Ram-Line synthetic camo stock is fitted, featuring molded checkering, a rubber recoil pad, and front and rear QD sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.5 in. Made in the USA.
