Serial pair: Noted as part of a consecutive serial-number pair (companion pistol listed under serial SE1-3055) This Colt Government Model Series 70 Limited Edition from the Colt Custom Shop is a documented Model 01911SE-A1 special run with "LIMITED EDITION" slide marking and official Colt paperwork verifying the work performed. Finished in Black DLC over a steel frame and slide, it features a National Match barrel and bushing, a tuned action, and target sights. Note: the original factory case end label lists "Blue Finish"; this pistol was subsequently refinished in Black DLC by the Colt Custom Shop, as documented. It is also noted as one of two sequential serial-number guns; the other pistol in the pair is currently listed under serial SE1-3055.

Built and upgraded in-house by the Colt Custom Shop, this Government Model follows the Series 70 pattern and is marked "LIMITED EDITION" on the slide. The model is confirmed as 01911SE-A1 by the included case/target documentation and Colt paperwork. Upgrades include a National Match tune with tool steel components and "Colt Custom" laser engraving.
The 5-inch National Match barrel is flush-cut with a reverse crown and paired with a National Match bushing, with factory markings "COLT 45 AUTO N.M." and "7267718 NM." Supporting work documented by Colt includes a polished feed ramp and breech face, tuned extractor and ejection port work, and a recoil spring matched to the tune. An EGW National Match bushing is also included, bagged.
Accuracy and sighting are supported by a fully adjustable target rear sight and a dovetailed front blade with a brass/gold bead. The slide features ball end-mill cuts, rear cocking serrations only, a lowered and flared ejection port, and dehorned edges for a clean profile. Controls include ambidextrous manual thumb safeties, a grip safety, a solid (non-skeletonized) trigger, and a Commander-style rowel hammer.
The steel frame and slide wear a uniform Black DLC finish applied by the Colt Custom Shop. The front strap is checkered, as is the flat mainspring housing, and the magazine well is beveled. A countersunk slide-stop hole and internal dehorn are part of the Custom Shop detail work. Capacity is 8+1.
