The 16 inch barrel is marked "5.56 NATO 1/9" and uses a 1:9 twist to stabilize common 5.56/.223 bullet weights. A threaded muzzle is fitted with an A2 flash hider. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, direct impingement gas system.
The right-hand, flat-top A3/A4 upper includes a Picatinny rail with position markings, forward assist, and ejection-port cover. Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hardcoat anodized finish for durability.
A free-float knurled aluminum tube handguard keeps the barrel isolated from external pressure.
