What's Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman revolver
The Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman is built on Smith & Wesson's robust N-frame and chambered in .357 Magnum with a six-round, fluted cylinder. This example carries the yoke-cut Model 28-2 marking and a large S&W crest on the sideplate, with "MADE IN U.S.A. / SPRINGFIELD, MASS." rollmarks confirming its U.S. manufacture.
The 6-inch heavy barrel uses a short ejector-rod housing and a partial underlug, paired with a matte, non-checkered anti-glare topstrap and barrel rib for a clean sight picture. The satin/matte blue finish over carbon steel gives the revolver a purposeful, duty-oriented appearance.
Sights are straightforward and precise: a plain black ramped front sight teams with an adjustable S&W rear sight. The action is double-action/single-action, and the smooth-faced, color casehardened trigger and casehardened, checkered-spur hammer provide a classic S&W control setup.
Factory checkered wood S&W target stocks with medallions are fitted to the square-butt frame. These are standard target stocks with the factory speedloader-relief cut on the left panel; the right panel is unrelieved.
