The Model 60 uses a semi-automatic blowback action with right-side charging and a cross-bolt safety. It feeds from an under-barrel fixed tubular magazine rated at 18+1 rounds, with right-side ejection for straightforward operation.
The 22-inch steel barrel features Marlin Micro-Groove rifling. The bore condition is excellent, and the rifling shows sharp lands and grooves. Factory iron sights include a ramped front and an open, barrel-mounted rear.
The receiver is an alloy unit finished in black with integral 3/8-inch rimfire scope grooves. A Bushnell Banner .22 riflescope is installed using rimfire tip-off rings. The rifle also retains usable iron sights for flexibility.
