Built on the AR-10/LR-308 pattern, the R-25 uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system and was developed in collaboration with DPMS. It accepts LR-308 pattern magazines and was configured from the factory for hunting applications.
The 20 in barrel is free-floated and fluted to reduce weight and aid heat dissipation. It has a recessed crown, a 1:10 twist for .308 Win projectiles, and a matte gray finish. The round aluminum handguard is slotted for airflow and includes a front sling-swivel stud.
The flat-top upper receiver carries an integral 1913 rail, and the gas block adds a short 1913 segment. Standard AR features include a forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port cover. No sights are installed.
Furniture includes a fixed, rifle-length polymer stock finished in Mossy Oak Treestand camouflage with a rear sling-swivel stud and black buttpad, paired with an A2-style pistol grip. Length of pull is 14.5 in.
Factory configuration notes include Mossy Oak Treestand hydrographic camouflage across the receivers, handguard, and stock, a typical overall length of about 39.75 in, weight around 8.75 lb, and a 10+1 capacity. Production for this first-generation model dates to approximately 2008–2009.
