It pairs a Government-length 5-inch barrel with an aluminum slide and frame in a matching satin silver finish, keeping weight to about 23 oz while maintaining full-size 1911 ergonomics. Target-focused sights, a lightened three-hole trigger, and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer round out a purpose-built rimfire that is easy to shoot and built in the USA.

Built as a dedicated rimfire from the start, the Kimber Rimfire Target mirrors full-size 1911 dimensions while using an aluminum slide and frame to keep weight down. The satin silver finish is consistent across the slide and frame for a clean, uniform look.
The sighting system is set up for precision with a black front blade and an adjustable black rear target sight. Cocking serrations are angled and cut at both the front and rear of the slide to aid manipulation without adding bulk.
Controls and fire-control parts follow a target-centric theme: a lightened, three-hole trigger promotes a consistent press, and the skeletonized Commander-style rowel hammer reduces reciprocating mass. Traditional 1911 safeties are present, including a thumb safety and a grip safety.
Ergonomics include black checkered synthetic grips with smooth diamond accents, a straight checkered mainspring housing, and a smooth front strap. An internal magwell bevel assists with magazine changes. Capacity is 10+1 rounds of .22 LR, with overall length approximately 8.7 inches.
The slide is rollmarked "RIMFIRE TARGET," and the pistol is made in the USA. As a full-size 1911 platform in .22 LR, it offers familiar handling with the economy and low recoil of rimfire ammunition.
