The P229 Legion combines a stainless slide and alloy frame, both finished in Legion Gray PVD for a cohesive, duty-ready look. Legion chevron and LEGION markings are present on the slide. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation.
The DA/SA, hammer-fired system uses a decocker and incorporates SIG's SRT along with a Grayguns intermediate-reach adjustable curved trigger and a polished action. An external spurred hammer supports traditional manual operation.
Sight acquisition is fast and clear with X-RAY tritium night sights, pairing a high-visibility green front ring with a tritium rear. The compact 3.9 in barrel and 15+1 capacity balance concealability with on-board firepower.
Ergonomics are enhanced by an extended, contoured beavertail, an undercut and serrated trigger guard, and a checkered frontstrap. G10 high-checkered grips with Legion medallions provide a positive hold. The dustcover integrates an accessory rail for lights or other compatible accessories. This example is the early non-optic-cut Legion configuration and carries the factory model code E29R-9-LEGION.
