It bears the Stratford, Connecticut rollmark from the original Charter Arms production era. Notable features include a one-piece, sideplate-less frame, fixed sights, and wood grips with Charter Arms medallions.

The design highlights include an exposed, checkered hammer spur for DA/SA operation, a smooth-faced trigger, and an unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip. The revolver is finished in blued steel with matching cylinder finish, and the topstrap around the rear sight notch has anti-glare serrations.

Fixed-sight geometry consists of an integral ramped front blade paired with a square-notch rear milled into the topstrap. The sideplate-less frame architecture is a defining Charter Arms hallmark, contributing to a streamlined, durable layout with straightforward serviceability.

Overall, this is a compact, five-shot .38 Special from the original Charter Arms era, featuring classic materials, traditional controls, and period-correct details that define the Undercover line.

    What’s Included

    • Charter Arms Undercover .38 Spl. revolver

The Stratford, Connecticut rollmark identifies this revolver as an example from the original Charter Arms production era. Collectors often look for this marking when seeking early-production Undercover models.

The Undercover’s one-piece, sideplate-less steel frame is a signature Charter Arms feature. It offers a solid, streamlined construction with a compact footprint suited to the model’s micro size.

Sight configuration is fixed and practical: an integral ramped front blade and a square-notch rear milled into the topstrap. Anti-glare serrations around the rear sight notch help diffuse glare along the sighting plane.

Controls and external features include DA/SA operation with an exposed, checkered hammer spur, a smooth-faced trigger, and an unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip. The revolver wears a blued finish with matching cylinder finish and factory wood grips bearing Charter Arms medallions.
