Built in Romania by Nova Modul and marked accordingly, this NAK9 is imported by Century Arms and retains clear import and origin markings. It uses a simple blowback system tailored to 9mm Luger while preserving the familiar AK-format controls and profile.
The 11-inch barrel is threaded and currently fitted with a multi-port cylindrical muzzle device. An OEM thread protector is included in the box for users who prefer a low-profile muzzle setup when the device is removed.
The receiver is stamped steel with riveted trunnions and a steel frame for durability. The rear of the receiver is fitted with a square end-cap block featuring internal threads. The pistol grip is the classic polymer AK-style pattern.
Furniture is a blend of custom and original components. A Krebs Customs ventilated aluminum lower handguard is installed for enhanced heat shedding, while the hardwood upper handguard remains in place. The original factory wood lower handguard is included loose.
Sighting equipment consists of AK-style iron sights: an open post front sight on the standard AK front-sight base with detent plunger, paired with an AK tangent rear sight leaf graduated 1–4. A scope mount is present, and the platform accepts Glock-pattern double-stack magazines, with a 33-round RWB magazine included.
