This Browning BPS Field in 20 gauge is a 1987 Miroku-made example with the signature bottom-eject, bottom-load design. It features a 28" steel ventilated rib barrel threaded for Browning Invector chokes, a polished blue finish, and gloss walnut furniture with cut checkering at the pistol-grip/wrist of the buttstock and a checkered forend. Selling as is - barrel needs replaced. Note: The magazine cap is missing, and the magazine tube’s external threads are exposed ahead of the forend.

Bore Condition: Poor - Noticeable dirt, stains, significant corrosion or damage.
Specific Condition Notes: The barrel has a bulge and must be replaced. The magazine cap is missing, which is required to retain the barrel ring and complete assembly. There is rust and pitting on the steel receiver. The magazine tube shows pitting. The walnut stock and forend display large scratches and dents.

The BPS platform is known for its bottom-eject, bottom-load layout, and this Field model follows that pattern. It was manufactured by Miroku for Browning in Japan and is marked "Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q., Made in Japan."
The 28" steel barrel wears a ventilated rib with a single front bead and is threaded for the Browning Invector screw-in choke system with flush-profile internal threads.
It is chambered for 2 3/4" and 3" shells with a 4+1 capacity. The action is pump-operated with feeding and ejection through the bottom of the receiver.
The shotgun has a polished blue finish on the steel receiver and barrel. The walnut buttstock has cut checkering at the pistol-grip/wrist, and the forend has cut checkering; both have a gloss finish, and there is a black recoil pad. A gold Browning Buckmark emblem is present on the top of the receiver (top strap).
