The SDP Compact pairs an aluminum, hard-coat anodized frame with a compact-length 3.7 in barrel and a 15+1 capacity, delivering a balanced footprint for carry or range use. Its internal-rail slide rides inside the frame rails, contributing to a low-bore-axis feel and tight slide-to-frame fit typical of the design.
Controls are set up for confident operation: a DA/SA trigger system with ambidextrous decocking levers, a reversible push-button magazine release, and a spurred external hammer. The modular grip system includes interchangeable shells/backstraps, textured frontstrap and backstrap, a beavertail, and the Sphinx hex logo.
The slide features front and rear diagonal cocking serrations and a faceted top. Sights are fixed, with a green fiber-optic front blade paired to a low-profile rear. A four-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover supports compatible lights or lasers.
Markings and provenance details include Made in Switzerland, KRISS USA, Inc., Virginia Beach, VA, and dustcover underside code CH2013US. The barrel hood is marked 9 PARA. Steel magazines are marked Made in Italy.
