The Tactical configuration centers on a 4.6 in steel barrel that is threaded 1/2x28 and capped with a knurled protector, ready for rimfire suppressor use. The slide is optics-cut and ships with a cover plate installed; the included FN Low-Profile Optics-Mounting System plates support mounting while retaining a co-witness with the tall iron sights.
This full-size, blowback, single-action, hammer-fired pistol uses an external hammer and a crisp single-action trigger. Controls are practical and familiar, including a push-button magazine release and an ambidextrous manual thumb safety. The accessory rail adds flexibility for lights or lasers.
The FDE polymer frame and matching FDE slide feature front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation. Textured grip panels with the FN logo provide a secure hold. Sights consist of a white-dot front and a black rear notch, set at a tall height to clear mounted optics.
Manufactured by Umarex in Germany and marked/imported by FN America in Columbia, South Carolina, this pistol carries UX DE and CIP proof symbols along with the appropriate import markings. Factory capacity is up to 15+1 rounds, and this example includes one 15-round and one 10-round steel magazine; FN 502 magazines are known to use a mix of flush-fit and extended basepad styles.
