- Smith & Wesson Model 617-6 .22 LR revolver
This 617-6 is built on the stainless K-frame with a brushed/satin finish, delivering a durable exterior and classic S&W form factor. The 6-inch heavy barrel uses a two-piece sleeved/shrouded construction with a full-length underlug and a serrated full rib for a steady sight picture.
The revolver is double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer and includes S&W's internal keyed lock. The standard S&W thumbpiece provides familiar cylinder release operation, and the factory black synthetic grip with S&W logo offers a solid, low-maintenance hold.
Sighting is handled by iron sights with an adjustable rear and a pinned, replaceable front blade. The topstrap is drilled and tapped and fitted with plug screws. The fluted stainless cylinder and satin stainless frame, receiver, and barrel present a cohesive finish throughout.
Markings include "MADE IN U.S.A. SPRINGFIELD, MASS." with the model/engineering change "617-6" stamped on the yoke, confirming the -6 configuration. Overall size is full-size, suitable for steady bench or field use with .22 LR.
