It features a 7.5 inch octagonal steel barrel, a brass frame, and a roll-engraved naval battle scene on the cylinder. Marked A.S.M. - BLACK POWDER ONLY - MADE IN ITALY with Italian proof marks including PN, it represents the brass-frame .44 reproduction configuration not found on original Colt 1851 Navies.

The revolver follows the wedge-retained, open-top Colt pattern with an under-barrel hinged loading lever. It has a blued steel barrel and cylinder, a brass frame with matching trigger guard and backstrap, and case-colored hammer and loading lever.
It uses fixed iron sights with a small brass post front and a hammer notch rear. The external hammer and single-action percussion system operate a 6-round cylinder.
The cylinder carries a factory roll-engraved naval battle scene. Markings include Italian proof marks, the PN black-powder proof, and A.S.M. - BLACK POWDER ONLY - MADE IN ITALY.
This is a reproduction with the brass-frame .44 configuration, a feature specific to modern replicas rather than original Colt 1851 Navy production. Made in Italy by Armi San Marco.
