Typhoon Defense F12 Bluecote Sport 12 Gauge Semi-Auto Shotgun, 20 in Barrel, Magazine-Fed, Gas-Operated, Flip-Up Sights
The Typhoon Defense F12 Bluecote Sport is a magazine-fed, gas-operated 12-gauge built on billet 7075-aluminum upper and lower receivers and finished in the factory Bluecote camouflage on the receivers and aluminum handguard. It features a 20-inch barrel, a Picatinny rail on the receiver with a short front handguard segment (not continuous), a long ventilated aluminum handguard with M-LOK-style slots, and factory flip-up polymer sights. This example includes three 5-round magazines and one 10-round magazine, plus a factory ported muzzle brake/compensator and enlarged, competition-style controls.
Precision-machined 7075-aluminum receivers and the named Bluecote finish define this Sport variant. Markings include Typhoon Kansas City, KS and Made in Turkey. The Bluecote is a Typhoon factory finish applied to the receiver set and aluminum handguard; the fixed stock and pistol grip are black polymer for a cohesive appearance.
The gas-operated, semi-automatic action is paired with a 20-inch barrel and a 10+1 capacity when using the included 10-round magazine. It is chambered for 2-3/4 in and 3 in 12-gauge shells. Feeding is via detachable box magazines.
Controls are set up for fast handling: an enlarged magazine release, enlarged bolt release, a right-side oversized charging handle, and a flared, skeletonized magwell. The flat-faced, serrated trigger and ambidextrous safety with high-visibility indicators add further usability. The fixed black synthetic stock includes a QD sling socket and rubber recoil pad, with a 14.0 in length of pull and a textured black polymer pistol grip.
The F12 Sport comes with a Picatinny rail on the receiver with a short front handguard segment (not continuous) for mounting sights and accessories, a long ventilated aluminum handguard with M-LOK-style accessory slots, and factory flip-up polymer front and rear sights. A factory Typhoon Defense ported muzzle brake/compensator is installed at the muzzle.
