The Waterfowler MAX-5 variant carries full Realtree MAX-5 camouflage on the stock, receiver, and barrel, with the large WEATHERBY logo on the right side of the receiver and Realtree MAX-5 branding on the forend. Receiver markings read Weatherby • SHERIDAN WY, and the gun is Turkish-made, consistent with current Element production.
The 28" barrel is chrome-lined and topped with a ventilated rib for quick sighting. It uses Weatherby’s screw-in choke system and comes with a Modified choke installed. The green fiber-optic front bead is easy to pick up in varied light. The barrel is stamped "12 GA 2 3/4" & 3" Shotshells" to match its 2 3/4" and 3" chambering.
Weatherby literature describes the Element series as inertia-operated. Controls are straightforward and glove-friendly, including a right-side bolt handle, a round bolt-release button, and a cross-bolt safety. This example is currently configured for a 2+1 capacity.
The synthetic stock and forend are built for field durability and grip, with black overmolded grip panels and a soft recoil pad bearing the Weatherby "W" logo. Length of pull measures 14.5". Sling-swivel studs are installed, with the front stud mounted on the underside of the forend near the tip for a clean, practical carry setup.
