The 16-inch barrel is cold hammer forged from carbon steel and threaded 1/2x28, capped with a three-prong flash hider. This setup provides durable construction and ready-to-use muzzle threading in a common pattern.
The MCX-SPEAR LT series uses a short-stroke gas piston with a 2-position adjustable gas valve. Controls are fully ambidextrous, and this configuration includes a right-side bolt catch and release for efficient manipulation from either side.
The rifle wears the LT-pattern free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with a continuous 1913 Picatinny rail extending from the receiver through the handguard. Flip-up front and rear iron sights are installed for immediate use.
The 1913-interface stock folds to the side, telescopes for length of pull from 10.75 to 13 inches, and includes a rubber buttpad. The coordinated coyote anodized finish covers the aluminum receivers and handguard; the stock body is polymer in matching coyote with anodized metal hardware, providing a uniform appearance. Capacity is 30+1 with STANAG-pattern magazines.
