The PM9 is a striker-fired, double-action-only design using Kahr's safe-cam trigger system and a locked-breech, modified Browning operating system. It incorporates an internal striker block and is configured without an external manual safety or a magazine disconnect, delivering a consistent DAO trigger press.
The 3.1 in match-grade barrel uses polygonal rifling, and the stainless steel slide wears a blackened finish marked 'STAINLESS'. Rear cocking serrations aid manipulation. The slide measures about 0.9 in in width, and the unloaded weight is about 14 oz, aligning with the PM9's micro footprint.
Sight regulation is handled by dovetailed bar-dot tritium night sights: a Trijicon H3 tritium front dot paired with a bar-style rear that is drift-adjustable. This setup provides a clear, durable, low-light sight picture.
