The Mk47 platform merges AR ergonomics with AK magazine compatibility, allowing the use of standard double-stack AK 7.62x39 magazines. Its AR-type rotating bolt and bolt carrier group are sized specifically for 7.62x39. With standard AK magazines, there is no last-round bolt hold-open.
The 12.5 in barrel is nitrided for longevity, threaded at the muzzle, and paired with a multi-port brake to manage recoil and muzzle movement. Direct impingement operation keeps the handling familiar for AR shooters.
Controls are well-appointed: a paddle-style magazine release, ambidextrous safety, and ambidextrous charging handle support efficient manipulation. A dust cover and brass deflector are present, and this model omits a forward assist.
The free-float CMMG EML M-LOK aluminum handguard offers solid accessory mounting while keeping weight forward in check. The pistol uses CMMG's Fastback receiver extension with an adjustable stabilizing brace featuring a hook-and-loop cuff. A CMMG textured polymer pistol grip provides a secure hold.
Both upper and lower receivers are aluminum with a bronze Cerakote finish, providing a durable and distinctive appearance. This BANSHEE is made in the USA and includes two 30-round Magpul PMAG AK-pattern magazines and a CMMG-branded soft case.
