The G19X uses Glock's crossover format: a compact-length 4.02 in slide paired with a full-size frame for a distinctive balance and capacity. The coyote-colored slide is nPVD-coated and features rear serrations; this was Glock's first factory-colored slide finish. The frame is polymer in matching coyote.
Its GLOCK Marksman Barrel uses enhanced polygonal rifling and an improved crown. The bore condition is excellent with a clean, mirror-like interior and crisp rifling. Chambered in 9mm Luger, the listed capacity is 18+1.
Controls are set up for versatility with ambidextrous slide-stop levers and a reversible magazine catch. The frame has an RTF texture and accepts interchangeable backstraps (set included) for grip sizing. An integral lanyard loop at the heel and a pronounced front magwell lip are built in.
Metal 3-dot sights are installed. Sight radius is listed at 5.98 in (steel) or 5.94 in (GNS). The dust cover incorporates Glock’s proprietary single-slot Universal accessory rail.
Markings include Austrian proof and acceptance stamps on the barrel hood. The frame is marked "MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA." The model offered is the commercial G19X introduced to the civilian market at SHOT Show on January 22, 2018. It ships with two 18-round and two 17-round factory magazines.
