It carries the Winchester oval "WP" proof and the classic New Haven rollmark. The bore is bright and clean with well-defined rifling, and the rifle retains its original open iron sights.

Part of Winchester’s rimfire 200 Series introduced in 1967, this Model 190 reflects New Haven production with a barrel rollmark stating "WINCHESTER .22 L OR LR MODEL 190 – MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A." The Model 190/290 family exceeded two million units produced.
The rifle uses a semi-automatic blowback action paired with a full-length under-barrel tubular magazine. The removable inner tube features a smooth cylindrical plug retained by a spring-loaded push-button/detent, and the stated capacity is 15 rounds of .22 LR.
Construction includes a 21-inch blued steel barrel and a black-finished aluminum-alloy receiver. Sighting is via open iron sights: a ramped front blade and an open rear sight with a stepped elevator for elevation adjustment.
The hardwood stock has a straight comb and is uncheckered, capped with a black plastic buttplate; the matching hardwood forearm completes the classic rimfire profile. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Additional factory features include a knurled takedown/assembly screw at the front of the receiver for tool-less disassembly and the Winchester oval "WP" proof mark.
