The rear aperture offers precise windage and elevation adjustments via easy-to-grip knobs, paired with a square front post protected by sturdy ears.
The receiver is investment-cast steel and marked on the heel with "US RIFLE M1A / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY." The action is semi-automatic, gas-operated, using a short-stroke piston and rotating bolt. The detachable M14-pattern magazine interface supports the stated 20+1 capacity, and a fixed GI-style front sling swivel is mounted on the stock fore-end, no stacking swivel is installed on the gas cylinder, and a rear sling swivel is fitted at the toe for carry options.
The black composite stock provides durable, weather-resistant performance with molded checkering at the grip and forend for secure handling.
