The Commander-length 4.25 inch slide and bushing barrel deliver the classic Commander profile with a full-size 1911 grip frame. The recoil system uses a GI short guide rod and a checkered recoil spring plug, staying true to traditional 1911 architecture.
The controls are set up for confident handling: a left-side magazine release; an extended single-side thumb safety; and a beavertail grip safety. A long, skeletonized three-hole aluminum trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer complete the firing controls.
The slide is cleanly executed with rear vertical cocking serrations, no front serrations, and a lowered and flared ejection port. Low-mount dovetailed sights provide a 3-dot sight picture with a single-dot front blade and a two-dot rear. Caspian "C" logo emblems are present behind the rear serrations.
The frame and slide are stainless steel with a matte stainless finish. The front strap is smooth with a high-cut under the trigger guard, and the magwell is lightly beveled to aid reloads. Textured composite/laminate grip panels with thumb-relief scallops offer a secure hold. Capacity is 8+1 in .45 ACP.
