What’s Included
- Browning Auto-5 Magnum Twelve 12 Gauge shotgun
Built in Belgium in 1970, this Magnum Twelve carries Belgian proof marks, "MADE IN BELGIUM," and the Browning Arms Company St Louis Mo. & Montreal P.Q. address. The receiver is factory engraved with Browning scrollwork bordered by a distinctive zig-zag pattern, and rollmarked "Magnum" to denote its magnum configuration.
The long-recoil Auto-5 action incorporates tunable friction rings to tailor operation for load intensity. It has a 3 in chamber and a magazine cut-off lever on the left side of the receiver. Capacity per the manual is 4+1 with 2 3/4 in shells or 3+1 with 3 in shells, and it uses a cross-bolt safety. The left receiver wall also shows two non-factory drilled and tapped holes consistent with a prior aftermarket side-mount installation; these holes are not original to the gun.
The 31 in Special Steel barrel features a ventilated rib and a fixed choke, paired with a bead front sight for a clean sight picture. The bore condition is excellent, with a mirror finish.
Walnut furniture includes a round-knob (Prince of Wales) pistol grip stock and matching forearm, both with cut checkering and a glossy finish. A Browning-marked ventilated recoil pad is fitted. The blued steel receiver and barrel complete the classic Auto-5 presentation and the model’s recognizable humpback profile.
