Product Description

Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless Type III .32 ACP, 3.75 in Barrel, 1920 Production, Blued Compact Semi-Auto Pistol

This Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless Type III is a commercial-production .32 ACP pistol manufactured in 1920. It features the Type III configuration with a 3.75 inch barrel and integrated bushing, an internal hammer, and the pre-1926 setup without a magazine disconnect. Clear Colt markings, period-correct proofs, and the compact, blued steel build make this a notable example of the classic Model M.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Fair condition, showing extensive signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: The right grip panel is cracked. The front sight is very loose and nearly able to fall out. There are scratches and blemishes on the metal surfaces, with areas of pitting and rust present.

    What's Included

    • 1x 8-round magazine
    • Soft zippered pistol rug

The Type III configuration retains the classic Colt single-action blowback system with an internal (concealed) hammer and both a manual thumb safety and a grip safety. It uses Browning rotating-barrel takedown and has a 3.75 inch barrel with an integrated bushing.

Factory markings include the right-side slide legend "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" and the Rampant Colt motif at the left rear of the slide. The pistol shows rear-only vertical slide serrations and a blued finish over carbon steel.

Sighting is via fixed iron sights with a half-moon front blade and a square/U-notch rear. Capacity is 8+1 rounds. The grips are black checkered hard rubber with the "COLT" banner and Rampant Colt motif.

Proof and inspection marks include the Colt "VP" triangle verified proof on the trigger guard and a "K" inspector/assembler mark at the front right of the slide near the muzzle. As a Type III, this pistol has no lanyard loop at the butt and is in the pre-1926 configuration without a magazine disconnect.
