The MPX platform uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system with a closed rotating bolt, tuned here for 9mm Luger in a compact SBR format. The 8 inch barrel and installed 9mm suppressor deliver a controllable, soft-shooting configuration. Capacity is 30+1 with proprietary SIG MPX detachable box magazines; seven factory polymer magazines are included.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector and Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle. The dual-rod telescoping stock uses a push-button latch and a polymer buttplate, keeping the overall profile compact while maintaining a solid shoulder interface.
The Midwest Industries MPX M-LOK aluminum handguard is marked "Made in U.S.A." and provides M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. A full-length Picatinny top rail runs from the receiver to the handguard, and folding front and rear iron sights are installed for immediate use.
Markings include "SIG MPX" on the left upper receiver, a circular SIG logo on the magwell, and "SIG SAUER INC., EXETER–NH, USA." Selector pictograms for SAFE and SEMI are present with ambidextrous levers. NFA-related engravings include "MILLER TRUST, LIVONIA, MI" on the left lower and additional NFA engraving near the ambi bolt release. This is a U.S.-made, NFA-regulated configuration.
