The 2K11 is a modular, double-stack 1911-style design with a steel upper frame mated to an aluminum grip module. Its 5 in. coned, bushingless bull barrel is fluted and finished in a distinctive gold tone, capped with a recessed crown for protection. The full-size format and double-stack grip feature a molded/beveled magazine well for fast reloads; a detachable aluminum flared magwell (gold) is included but not installed.
The tri-top stainless slide features forward lightening cuts, angular cocking serrations, an external extractor, and a lowered/flared ejection port. Fit and finish are two-tone: a matte stainless/silver slide and upper frame over a dark gray/black grip module with darker controls/rear sight plate; the gold-tone barrel is visible through the slide cuts. The pistol is manufactured and marked in Troy, Alabama, USA.
Sighting equipment includes a serrated, adjustable target rear and a green fiber-optic front (TAG/Kimber). The pistol is optics-ready, with the adjustable rear mounted on a removable plate to facilitate red dot installation when desired.
Controls and internals are competition-focused: an ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety with memory bump, plus a skeletonized, match-grade aluminum trigger. A Kimber patent-pending toolless guide rod simplifies disassembly. A 1913 accessory rail on the dustcover supports lights or other accessories. Capacity is stated up to 20+1, and this example ships with three 20-round magazines and one 17-round magazine.
