This Marlin Model 917V is a .17 HMR bolt-action rifle built with a 22" heavy varmint-contour barrel and a blued carbon-steel receiver. It features a North Haven, Connecticut barrel address, a laminated hardwood thumbhole stock with a Monte Carlo comb, and Marlin's T-900 Fire Control. The receiver has 3/8" grooved dovetails and is drilled and tapped, and this rifle comes with installed two-piece clamp-on scope bases and a 7-round detachable magazine.

The 22" carbon-steel barrel uses a heavy/varmint contour and a 1:9 RH twist for .17 HMR. It is finished in blue and configured with no iron sights. The bore and rifling are excellent, with a clean, mirror finish and sharp lands and grooves.
The receiver is blued carbon steel with 3/8" grooved dovetails and is also drilled and tapped for bases. Two-piece clamp-on scope bases are already installed, offering a ready path for mounting optics of your choice.
This example wears a laminated hardwood thumbhole stock with a Monte Carlo comb, palm swell, and a 13.5" length of pull. Front and rear sling-swivel studs are installed. Notably, this laminated thumbhole stock is not the standard 917V catalog stock.
The action is a right-hand ejection, bolt-action design with a detachable 7-round steel box magazine (7+1 capacity). Controls include a thumb safety, a cocking indicator, and Marlin's T-900 Fire Control trigger system.
