It retains its classic New Haven manufacture and jeweled bolt, set into a right-hand Monte Carlo walnut stock. A 3-12x40 adjustable-objective scope is installed on a one-piece base, and the bore remains clean and shiny.

Chambered in .264 Winchester Magnum, this Model 70 uses a 24-inch Winchester Proof Steel barrel and polished blued metalwork. It is configured without iron sights and is factory-marked on the barrel with: "WINCHESTER - MODEL 70 - .264 WIN MAGNUM - MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. - WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL."
This post-1964 push-feed action features a jeweled bolt body and a bolt-shroud wing safety. Feeding is from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, providing a 3+1 capacity.
The rifle was manufactured in New Haven, Connecticut in 1974. Its stock is walnut with a Monte Carlo profile and right-hand cheekpiece, cut checkering, a black fore-end tip with white-line spacers, a ventilated recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
A 3-12x40 scope with AO and a duplex reticle is installed on a one-piece base with rings, complementing the rifle’s no-iron-sight setup and readying it for field or range use.
