The Badlands edition combines Burnt Bronze Cerakote metalwork with a Badlands Approach camouflage synthetic stock. It is marked MADE IN JAPAN HOWA and SHERIDAN, WY, reflecting its Japanese-manufactured action and final assembly in Wyoming. Weatherby backs this model with a sub-MOA factory accuracy guarantee.
The action is a two-lug, push-feed Howa system with a plunger ejector for reliable cycling. Controls include a three-position safety marked "S | I | F" and a match-quality two-stage trigger. Feeding is via an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, providing a 3+1 capacity in .300 Win. Mag.
The 26-inch tapered sporter barrel features a recessed crown. There are no iron sights, keeping the top clean for optics use. The receiver is drilled and tapped on the Howa/Vanguard (Howa 1500) footprint.
The stock is synthetic with a Monte Carlo profile and a raised right-hand cheekpiece for a consistent cheek weld. Sling swivel studs are installed, and a recoil pad is fitted. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
An optics rail is installed, and the receiver’s Howa/Vanguard (Howa 1500) footprint provides broad compatibility for mounting solutions.
